Emily Twombly Owner and Chief Instructorn dance photos


Emily Twombly has been dancing and performing around the New England area for over 30 years. A native to Connecticut, Emily has attended two competitive dance studios, one in Connecticut and one in Rhode Island, where she helped choreograph performance pieces. Emily was also a member of the Salve Regina University Dance team where she graduated in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Dance. Emily was a choreographer as well as the secretary for the dance team. Also during her college years, Emily taught dance to 5th-8th graders at St. Michael’s Country Day School in Newport, RI. After college, Emily coached the Endicott College Dance Team for 2 consecutive seasons. She resigned from the position when she went to graduate school (at Endicott College) for her Masters in Business Administration. During this time she was part of Triple Threat Entertainment Dance Agency, which is a hip-hop agency in the greater Boston area. She also worked for Northern Lights Entertainment Company where she danced for celebrations such as Bar/Bah Mitzvahs. Currently, Emily is teaching various dance styles including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern and Hip Hop at The Karen Bernard School of Dance in Winchester, MA while operating Rockport Dance Academy full time. Emily is a certified Dance Teacher of Boston as well as a licensed Zumba instructor. She is American Red Cross certified in CPR, First Aid and AED from infant to adult.
